Road Closures

Temporary Road Closure Notices from Kent County Council

 
 
Common Road, Chatham - 24th - 27th June 2024 (09.00 - 18:00)
 
It will be necessary to close Common Road, Chatham from 24th June 2024 for up to 3 days.

The road will be closed in its entirety.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 09:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

 
 
A229 Blue Bell Hill, Aylesford - 8th - 9th July 2024 (10:00 - 17:00)
 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of A229 Blue Bell Hill, Aylesford, from 8th July 2024 with estimated completion by 9th July 2024.

A229 Blue Bell Hill, Aylesford, will be closed on the southbound slip road to Shell Filling Station, between the hours of 10:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. 

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Blue Bell Hill Southbound, A229 Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Blue Bell Hill Northbound and Old Chatham Road. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow new signage and lining to be installed, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

 
Robin Hood Lane, Walderslade - 17th - 18th July 2024
 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Robin Hood Lane, Walderslade, from 17th July 2024 with estimated completion by 18th July 2024.

Robin Hood Lane, Walderslade, will be closed outside 230. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.
